How to Clear the Anxiety Clutter your Mind Sensory Awareness

You can use your senses to help de-clutter your mind. Here are some ideas on how.

    
* Word. When the mind is racing with hundreds of ideas, often being confused, a good way to deal with them, to physically get them. Of course, you can tell your worries to someone, but if there's no one around, or you do not want to burden their recurring concerns, say out loud or write them down. Then they go out into the world, not just deal with them in your head. Therefore things can seem much calmer and easier to deal with. Record includes kinesthetic senses (physical movement) of your hand writing and feel like pen on paper, or fingers to keyboard. It also includes a visual sense to read the words you write, and if you read or say the words aloud to you using your sense of audience.

    
* Sensory Awareness Inspiring places. Wandering hither and thither during the summer vacation, I knew that simply being in places that require nothing from me, and touch a real opportunity to clean up the attention of the mind. Jaume Plensa sculpture in Yorkshire Sculpture Park have inspired me to forget myself and remember that the world belongs to me, when I allow my mind to be spacious. I can tell you that I stood and stared for a long time!

* Art in the home or office. Use your visual experience. Even now when I look at the screen saver sculpture Plensa, I notice that instinctively take a great long breath and let go of my usual goals and concerns. So make sure you have pictures around you that inspires you to pause and be spacious.
In NLP, we recognize that people differ in their favorite sensory channels, ie, a meaning which is central to the buy Valium no prescription and communication. This means that not everyone is inspired by art, or what they see around them. For example, some people are more inspired by the auditory canal.

    
* Music and your sense of audience. You are a man who inspires and can get lost in what you hear? Then you can influence your mind is very powerful sound. This may seem obvious, but you'd be surprised how many customers do not consciously choose to listen to music loud with the vibrations they want to experience. * Kinesthetic sense, some people are focused primarily on what they feel. Or on the skin: a cool breeze, silky waters of the sea, or feelings within the body, as they relax or exercise. If you're one of those people then make sure that you immerse yourself in the sensory experiences that you know will be distracted from your worries, such as a nice hot relaxing bath or jogging in the park, to reduce stress in your body.
There are so many ways to free yourself from worries by focusing on the sensual experience. Take time to experiment and see what works for you.

Stay Safe and Healthy on Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday is almost equivalent to a national holiday for some. I will be among the fans cheering this year for green and gold. But unfortunately, for some, the day can bring about unfortunately accidents and ailments that can be avoided with just a little common sense, says Dr. Jeff Kalina, associate medical director of emergency medicine at The Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Super Bowl healthDr. Kalina notes that the emergency department is usually busy each year after the Super Bowl. “I’ve seen a number of injuries, some fatal…because people often pay more attention to the game than to their health and safety.”
As with most “drinking holidays”, such as New Year’s Eve or the Fourth of July, there is often an increase in drunken driving and motor vehicle accidents. A recent study published in the journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research finds that about 8% of fans leaving professional sports games tested legally drunk with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.08 or greater. 40% of fans tested positive for a positive BAC but not above the legal limit. Night games, tailgating and being under 35 years of age increased the risk.
A separate 2003 study found that there was a 41% relative increase in the average number of traffic fatalities after a Super Bowl telecast than on non-Super Bowl Sundays.

Another recent study finds that Super Bowl home team losses can lead to significant stress that can cause heart attacks and stroke. Researchers from the Good Samaritan Hospital and Keck School of Medicine at USC found that there were an increased number of cardiac deaths associated with a Super Bowl loss versus a home team win.
The Big Game may also bring rise to more domestic violence cases, although this has been mostly chalked up to urban myth. But researchers a few years ago from Indiana University did conclude that domestic violence incidents increase on Super Bowl Sundays, just as they do on almost every holiday except for Valentine’s Day.

Dr. Kalina notes that there are also ED visits for stomach ailments due to the mixture of alcohol and junk food, bladder infections due to urinary retention (not going to the bathroom during the game), broken teeth (man trying to open a beer bottle with his teeth), and people who throw out their back by abruptly standing to cheer.
Interestingly, though, a study from 2008, published in the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine, male visits to the emergency department are actually lower during game time. Researchers from the University of Maryland School of Medicine find that male patient registration during sporting events is lower, especially big games such as the Super Bowl and the World Series or when the “home team” is playing.
